What we collect, and what we don't

1. What happens only on your PC

Dodame PC Cleanup reads documents, reads text in photos, detects faces and sorts files on the user's PC. File contents are never sent outside the PC. It only checks whether a face is present, never who it is. Sorting rules learned from files you moved yourself, and the contents of the Secret Vault and Account Vault, are stored only on that PC. Vaults can be opened only with the user's password and recovery key, so we cannot see them either.

2. What the program sends out

Sent by default — Update checks (current version · OS type), usage statistics (use counts per feature · error types · version · plan, and a PC identifier name used to separate statistics by PC), and, during a Big Cleanup, the names of unknown folders and file groups (for example, program or company names). Group names are sent to identify what they are, and names that look like people's names, phone numbers or personal documents are not sent. The server keeps only a fingerprint (hash) and the identification result instead of the original name, and uses them to help sort files for other users too.

Sent only if the user turns it on — AI features such as precision sorting, document summaries, mail summaries and Ask send file names and portions of text, with personal information masked, to the AI the user chooses (the Dodame server, Claude connected with the user's API key, or Ollama on the user's PC). If an external AI is chosen, data is transferred to that company's servers (which may be overseas). The Account Vault leak check sends only the first 5 characters of the password fingerprint. When mail integration is turned on, the PC connects directly to that mail service, and the pet's visit-a-friend's-PC feature exchanges data only between PCs connected by a friend code. The Office plan sends a summary of check results for the administrator (file counts and a summary of locations — not file contents).

Browser extension "Dodam" — Blocks scams and harmful ads, labels sponsored posts, and provides sign-up help, terms analysis and price comparison within the browser and PC, and does not send personal information outside the PC.

3. What this website collects

The name, company, contact number, email and message you enter in Contact us or Business inquiry, and the IP address of submission. For visit and download statistics, we record the pages viewed, the address of the page you came from (excluding the part after ?), search terms passed on by search engines, campaign tags (utm), and the browser type string. We do not keep the original IP address, and after one day it is kept only as a value that cannot identify you. We do not use cookies to track visitors.

4. Retention period and destruction

Inquiries are deleted 1 year after the response is completed, and visit and download records after 2 years. Where the law requires retention, we follow that period.
